Continental stands in pioneering technology and services for sustainable mobility, reshaping the cruise industry by introducing three revolutionary upholstery solutions: skai Evida Fiber, skai Totexo EN, and skai Tovosoft EN.

Eco-Friendly Upholstery Transforming Spaces
Continental’s sustainable innovations are used throughout cruise ships, from bed headboards, sofas, and chairs to seating in lobbies, restaurants, and spa areas. These materials extend to wall coverings and furnishings within the crew areas.
skai Evida Fiber: This cutting-edge surface material features a textile-like texture comprising 90% natural and renewable components. Beyond this, it displays resistance to abrasion and disinfectants, catering to the demanding environments of cruise ships.
skai Totexo EN and skai Tovosoft EN: Crafted from recycled polyester fibres and free of plasticisers, these materials underscore durability and environmental responsibility. Müller emphasised, “Durability is a high priority for us, and our designs embrace the latest furnishing trends and shades like those already exhibited at the Milan Furniture Fair in the spring,” added Müller.
Expanding the Spectrum of Sustainability
Continental’s commitment extends beyond the mentioned materials. The skai VyP Coffee, incorporating over 65% natural and recycled raw materials, including coffee grounds. Meanwhile, with patented technology, the skai Toronto EN boasts exceptional resistance to stains.
