Cable cars, snorkelling and UNESCO world heritage sites – it’s all included with Regent Seven Seas 2015 shore excursions
Regent Seven Seas are best known for their all-inclusive luxury – and when I say “all-inclusive” that literally means EVERYTHING is included, even shore excursions.
Considering that Regent Seven Seas has just released their 2014/15 cruise collection I thought it might be nice, for a change, to not focus so much on individual sailings, but to have a slightly closer look at what type of FREE excursions are actually on offer. After all, excursions are a vital part of anyone’s cruise and free or not you want them to be just right for you.
I suppose you could say my blog today is a “sampler platter” of what is waiting for you in a far-away foreign land! Remember there are far more choices available, this is just a small selection of what’s on offer.
Regent Seven Seas – 2015 shore excursions and land tours
Thailand – Elephant Village of Pattaya – This is a three and a half hour long excursion where guests can visit Pattaya’s Elephant village and discover how the animals are trained for a variety of tasks. I suspect this would strongly appeal to the animal lovers amongst guests and I have to admit, the elephant is my favourite animal so this excursion would be at the very top of my list.
South Africa – Cape Town and Table Mountain – This excursion is roughly 7 hours in length and offers guests an alternative view of Cape Town via a scenic trip up Table Mountain, the city’s most celebrated landmark. You will then embark a Swiss-engineered Rotair cable car, and ascend to the summit where breath taking views shall be waiting for you. What a way to see Cape Town!
Roatan – Gumbalimba Preservation Park – This 4 hour excursion is perfect for nature lovers. Experience the raw beauty of Roatan at the country’s finest preservation Park. Whilst here you can also engage one on one with beautiful and very gentle White face, spider and howler monkeys. This excursion would also be top of my list even though I have in fact done something similar myself when I visited Roatan.
Tahiti – Lagoon Discovery (Papeete) – If there is one place in the world to snorkel it has to be Tahiti and this 3 hour long excursion is bound to simply not be quite long enough. You will journey to either the west or east coast for this trip, both as stunning as each other.
Canada – Historic Quebec – Pack your walking shoes for this tour as you venture off on a 3-hour scenic walking tour, taking in the very heart of Quebec City’s 400-year old Old Town. This world heritage site is the only walled city in North America and the photograph opportunities will be plenty. This could be the ideal tour for budding amateur photographers.
Spain –Gaudi’s Barcelona – Barcelona and Gaudi go hand in hand so it’s no surprise there would be a shore excursion dedicated to his works. This 4 hour tour shall let you see this vibrant city through the eyes of Antoni Gaudi. You shall visit the UNESCO world heritage site, Park Güell, the unmistakable Sagrada Familia and Casa Batlló
