Guadaloupe Cruises
Guadeloupe is part of the Lesser Antilles about 200 miles north of its sister island of Martinique. It is made up of two islands separated by a narrow seawater channel known as the Riviere Salee. Grand Terre is the eastern island with typical Antillian landscapes of rolling hills and sugar plantations while Basse Terre has a rugged mountainous terrain dominated by La Soufriere volcano and beautiful sandy beaches. A stream of boiling water gushes from the top of the 4,800-foot mountain, reminding you that this volcano is not dormant, but very much alive. Further downstream you can swim in the beautiful triple falls of Chute de Carbet.
