Gaeta Cruises
Gaeta is a fishing port and seaside resort located on the Gulf of Gaeta in the Tyrrhenian Sea on the west coast Italy northwest of Naples. Within the old walls of the town the character of a fortified square is preserved and it is dominated by the cathedral dating from 1106 and restored in 1792 which contains a museum and the Castello (lower part c. 1289 and the upper c. 1435). The Monte d'Orlando park is supposed to be the site of the grave of Caieta (the nurse of Aeneas, mythical hero of Troy and Rome), after whom the town was named.
