Muck
Small Isles, Inner Hebrides
Rimmed with lovely shell-sand beaches and scattered with wild flowers, flat Muck is a tiny, fertile haven, noted for its birdlife – puffins, kittiwakes, fulmars, shearwaters and sea-eagles – and the trie porpoises that swim off its shores, from which its name derives. Port Mor, the only village, has a tearoom-craft shop serving delicious home baking.
