AmaSonata: Dining & Restaurants

AmaSonata Dining

AmaSonata Dining

Few river cruise lines can match AmaWaterways when it comes to the dining options available on their ships. From exquisite fine dining to casual light bites and snacks, you’ll find a treat for your tastebuds no matter which venue you choose.

AmaSonata Restaurants

The restaurants and eateries on AmaSonata are as follows:

The Main Restaurant

The Main Restaurant is the primary dining venue on AmaPrima and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast and lunch are buffet-style, while the evening meal is served at your table with choices made from a frequently changing menu. The cuisine on offer here is a mixture of international favourites and a selection of dishes that reflect the culinary traditions of the region you are cruising.

Chef’s Table

A highlight of any AmaWaterways cruise, the Chef’s Table is available on a reservation-only basis and gives you the opportunity to watch AmaSonata’s culinary team prepare your food at close quarters. Though the capacity is strictly limited, most guests will have the chance to dine at the Chef’s Table at least once during a seven-night river cruise.

Al Fresco Terrace

The Al Fresco Terrace is AmaSonata’s informal dining option. The cuisine served here combines healthy options such as salads and soups with pasta and seafood dishes. Best of all, the retractable roof means it’s open daily regardless of the weather.

Other dining options:

  • 24-hour room service is available to all guests
  • Tapas in the Main Lounge between lunch and dinner

Entertainment, Activities & Facilities

AmaSonata Facilities

AmaSonata Facilities

River cruises generally lend themselves to those who love having the chance to explore multiple destinations in one holiday. As such, many of the activities and entertainment during the day will take place ashore, whether you choose to participate in a small-group shore excursion or explore independently. The outings on an AmaSonata cruise range from everything to walking/bicycle tours to wine tasting and cultural events such as musical recitals, all of which ensure you will get the most out of your time away.

Outside of the time spent ashore, you will have the opportunity to enjoy AmaSonata facilities. The ship features a sun deck with a swim-up bar, boutiques and a fitness centre, while the ship’s spa is ideal should you wish to enjoy a spot of pampering during your holiday.

In the evening, most guests will enjoy the surroundings of the elegant main lounge, where occasional musical performances provide a pleasing backdrop to camaraderie among guests. Alternatively, AmaSonata’s Observation Lounge provides the perfect vantage point for sunset views of the nearby scenery and landscapes.

Other facilities on AmaSonata include:

  • Complimentary bicycle fleet
