Built in 1991, Le Ponant is a three-masted sail-ship which offers capacity for no more than 64 guests. Le Ponant is the longest serving member of the Ponant Cruises fleet and currently operates itineraries in Europe and North Africa.

Having initially set the standard for Ponant Cruises’ unique take on boutique luxury cruising, Le Ponant has continued to be a popular choice of vessel for those who love small ship cruises. Le Ponant Accommodation

The 32 staterooms on Le Ponant are split into two categories; Antigua and Marie Galante. The 5 Antigua staterooms are on the open Antigua Deck, while the 27 Marie Galante staterooms are situated on the lower deck. Both categories offer similar features, which include:

Le Ponant Dining

There are three dining venues on Le Ponant. The ship’s main restaurant is Karukera, which has an open-seating policy and serves up delicious French cuisine, with fresh fish available in the evening. There is also an outdoor restaurant called Le Diamant, which is slightly more informal and therefore ideal for breakfast and lunch.

Le Ponant Facilities

The facilities on Le Ponant include a salon lounge, a bar area and a sun deck. While there is no spa or fitness suite onboard, the ship does boast a water-sports marina platform which can be used for swimming, snorkelling, wate r-skiing and windsurfing.
