Seven Seas Splendor joined the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet in 2020 and is the luxury cruise operator’s second Explorer-class ship. Although somewhat similar to her sister ship Seven Seas Explorer, the 750-guest vessel provides a few variations, most notably the re-introduction of guest-favourite, Coffee Connection, and changes to the layout of the Concierge and Penthouse Suites.

Like the other Regent ships, Seven Seas Splendor offers cruises to an expansive collection of destinations. Each itinerary features a pleasant mixture of marquee ports and hidden gems, from the Caribbean islands to the mesmerising Norwegian Fjords. All suites on Seven Seas Splendor have a personal Butler.

You have ten accommodation categories to choose from when you book a Seven Seas Splendor cruise, ranging from the Veranda Suite to the breathtaking Regent Suite. All suite categories benefit from a private balcony and living area, an entertainment system, a writing/vanity desk, and a mini-bar. In addition, the ensuite bathrooms provide bath/shower facilities, plush bathrobes, slippers, and L’Occitane amenities.

Veranda Suite

With approximately 300 square feet of space, the Veranda Suite on Seven Seas Splendor may be the entry-level suite category on Seven Seas Splendor but is easily comparable with the higher suite grades you would find on a larger vessel. Additionally, you’ll enjoy a cosy nights’ sleep in Regent’s signature European Queen Size Elite Slumber Bed and have the opportunity to dine in-suite should you choose to do so.

Penthouse Suite

The Penthouse Suite on Seven Seas Splendor provides a luxurious haven for relaxation during a lazy sea day or following an exciting day ashore. Boasting ample storage space courtesy of a large walk-in closet and benefitting from a bedroom separate from the living area, the Penthouse Suite is one of our favourite suite categories available with Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

If you’re looking for apartment-style accommodation, the Splendor Suite is the ideal choice. Book this suite and enjoy the benefits of a large living area (complete with a dining room table), a separate bedroom with access to substantial bathroom facilities, and an oversized private balcony that runs the suite’s length.

Regent Suite

The Regent Suite on Seven Seas Splendor is one of the grandest accommodation options at sea. There are two private balconies (one which features a Treese Heated mini-pool Spa), two bedrooms, and even an in-suite spa and sauna. The centrepiece of the Regent Suite is undoubtedly the Steinway Grand Baroque Piano, ideally situated to provide the perfect accompaniment while entertaining friends.

Dining with Regent Seven Seas is an experience to be cherished, with each mealtime presenting the opportunity to enjoy a new culinary adventure. Seven Seas Splendor boasts eight dining venues, with options ranging from casual light bites to exquisite fine dining. Of course, you can also dine in-suite should you require, with selected dishes from the main restaurants available to order throughout the day and night.

Chartreuse

Chartreuse brings the delectable French fine dining to the high seas, offering a mesmerising combination of flavours typically found in a world-class Parisian restaurant. From frog’s legs in garlic cream to veal with grape chutney, reserving your place for at least one evening in Chartreuse is highly recommended.

Coffee Connection

A firm favourite with many Regent Seven Seas guests, Coffee Connection on Seven Seas Splendor is the place to head during the day for pastries, light bites and barista-made coffee. Better yet, head outside and take in the ocean views al fresco-style.

Compass Rose

Compass Rose is the principal speciality dining venue on Seven Seas Splendor. Exuding an air of sophistication and accentuated with sparkling chandeliers and Versace tableware, Compass Rose is one of the most breathtaking restaurants at sea. Here, you can enjoy a varied menu with delicious wine pairings.

La Veranda

La Veranda is one of the informal dining venues on Seven Seas Splendor. Open for breakfast and lunch, it serves up a wide variety of buffet-style fare, with cooked-to-order service stations available for hot dishes. La Veranda also benefits from a spacious outdoor dining area, so you can enjoy your meal while taking in the view.

Pacific Rim

Exclusive to Regent Seven Seas’ Explorer-class ships, Pacific Rim will delight with a unique take on Pan-Asian cuisine. Here you can enjoy everything from sushi platters to Beef Takaki Rolls while taking in the ornate Eastern-influenced architecture.

Pool Grill

A cruise classic, Seven Seas Splendor’s Pool Grill is in easy reach of the ship’s pool and sun loungers, making it an excellent option for a snack anytime during the day. Here, you can enjoy hotdogs, burgers, salads, pasta and pizza. For dessert, treat yourself to delicious ice cream with all the toppings or indulge in a US-style milkshake.

Prime 7

Prime 7 is Regent Seven Seas’ famous American-style steakhouse. In many ways, it echoes the type of exclusive bar and grill you might find in New York, yet little touches such as the oversized wooden menus and leather chairs add an element of unquestionable elegance. The menu in Prime 7 is brimming with delicious cuts of meat, fresh lobster, and an array of mouthwatering sides.

Sette Mari At La Veranda

La Veranda transforms into a casual, authentic Italian eaterie during the evening, serving classic culinary staples from Naples and beyond. The menu at Sette Mari on Seven Seas Splendor changes every two nights, so you’ll have plenty of choices, even if you decide to dine there more than once on your cruise.

Seven Seas Splendor offers a range of world-class facilities and entertainment options to suit guests of all persuasions. So whether you wish to say active or would prefer to keep things low key and relax in peace, you’ll find a space to enjoy.

During the day:

During pleasant weather or when cruising a tropical region, the Pool Deck is one of the most popular areas on Seven Seas Splendor. Unlike pool areas on larger ships, you’ll never encounter a shortage of loungers, with Regent providing enough seating and space for a large number of guests.

Above the Pool Deck is the mezzanine Sports Deck, where you will find most of the sports and activity-led equipment, including golf nets, shuffleboard, paddle tennis and a putting green. Additionally, fitness enthusiasts will love the gym on deck 6, which boasts cardio and strength training equipment.

On deck 5, you will find Serene Spa & Wellness, which provides an idyllic environment for a range of spa treatments. The spa’s position at the ship’s stern allows for stunning views courtesy of the exclusive Infinity Pool. Wellness pursuits are an increasingly popular aspect of cruising, so Serene’s offering extends beyond the physical spa area, with selected shore excursions tailored to those who have an interest. If you decide to book a treatment at the spa, make sure you stop by Coffee Connections (also on deck 5) for a perfectly-made coffee.

Seven Seas Splendor’s boutiques are positioned on deck 4 and offer a selection of luxury goods, including perfumes, aftershaves, clothing and jewellery.

Seven Seas Splendor Culinary Arts Kitchen

Of course, being at sea doesn’t have to be all about relaxation or keeping fit, so if you’re interested in learning a new skill, why sign up for the Culinary Arts Kitchen? Designed in partnership with Head Chef Kathryn Kelly, you can participate in a series of hands-on cooking classes and create dishes that reflect the region you are exploring. From Argentine steak to Moroccan tagine, you’ll learn to prepare and present dishes to restaurant standards.

When night falls:

During the evening, much of the entertainment on Seven Seas Splendor takes place in the ship’s Constellation Theatre. The two-tier auditorium boasts clear sightlines, bar service and comfortable seating, making it the perfect environment to enjoy performances from the Regent Signature Orchestra.

For pre-or post-dinner drinks, head to one of the ship’s lounges and relax with your favourite tipple. The Splendor Lounge often hosts live musical performances, while the Meridian Lounge is an elegantly-appointed nightspot offering a vast menu of cocktails and beverages. Near the top of the ship on deck 11 is where you will find the ship’s beautiful Observation Lounge, with floor-to-ceiling windows and gentle piano accompaniment helping to add an air of exclusive elegance to the evening’s proceedings.
