What’s It Like Onboard?

Freedom of choice is at the heart of the Atlas Ocean Voyages experience. There are no obligations to participate in group activities, nor will you find any formal nights. Instead, you can catch up with like-minded travellers, enjoy the idyllic spa facilities, or simply retreat to your sumptuously appointed stateroom or suite.

Accommodations

With a choice of staterooms and suites available, the accommodations on an Atlas cruise ship provide a luxurious haven following a busy day exploring ashore. All categories benefit from spacious ensuite facilities with L’Occitane amenities, a living space, and a private balcony or large panoramic window.

Dining

Dining with Atlas is a real experience, with every meal made using the freshest ingredients – most locally sourced – by the ship’s resident chefs. Pick up a light bite in the European-style Paula’s Cafe, treat yourself to the authentic tastes of Portugal in Alma al Fresco, or enjoy the incredible surroundings and delicious cuisine served in the ship’s main dining room. Alternatively, relax poolside with a sandwich or burger from the 7-Aft Grill, or take in Afternoon Tea in The Dome Observation Lounge.

Health & Wellness

How do you make a luxury cruise even more relaxing? You provide access to one of the best spa facilities at sea. Atlas is the first and only cruise operator to partner with L’Occitane, so you can expect to enjoy a range of pampering treatments in the stunning SeaSpa. Those with a keen eye on fitness will love the fully-equipped fitness suite, while nothing can beat taking a dip in the pool when the sun is at its warmest.

Social Spaces & Lounges

The social hubs of the Atlas cruise experience, the distinctive lounges provide stylish decor, comfortable seating, and incredible bar service day and night. You’ll always find somewhere to sit back and relax, from the grand Atlas Lounge to the cosy Zephyr Lounge. On an expedition voyage, head to the ship’s bow and watch for breaching whales and stunning icebergs from the viewing area positioned just 30 feet above the waterline.

What’s It Like Ashore?

Every day on an Atlas cruise provides many new opportunities to explore, whether calling at an iconic city like Rio, Rome, or Edinburgh or hiking a glacier in Antarctica. The ship’s size means your itinerary will always be varied, and there’s a high possibility you’ll see several hidden gems you’ve never seen before.

Free Cultural Immersion

Every voyage features a complimentary shore excursion in each port. Atlas calls this their Cultural Immersion program, and as such, you can spend your time ashore in various ways. Over 500 excursions are available, from visiting local markets to guided tours of historic sites and wine tasting.

Epicurean Excursions

Available on selected itineraries in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the British Isles, the Epicurean Excursions program provides curated tours designed to highlight culinary traditions and cultural highlights. For instance, visit Elba and learn to make pesto, sample cheese and wine in La Coruna, or enjoy coffee and cake while touring the Roykstovan, a 900-year-old farmhouse in the Faroe Islands.

Polar Excursions

Excursions on polar voyages with Atlas are entirely different. Instead, the captain will use his knowledge and the ship’s technical innovations to navigate to locations with abundant wildlife or areas where the conditions are ideal for kayaking or paddleboarding. At other times, the expedition team will lead guests on Zodiac trips or hikes across the tundra and awe-inspiring glaciers.

Atlas Ocean Voyages Ships

World Navigator, World Traveller, and World Voyager have been purpose-built for Atlas Ocean Voyages. The interiors are intimate, airy, and radiant, with little touches in keeping with Atlas’ take on casual luxury. The exteriors are sleek and elegant, with dark blue hulls guaranteed to turn heads in the most glamorous ports and harbours. Both ships are equipped with double hulls and are polar-class rated, making journeys through the Arctic and Antarctica safe and comfortable.

Atlas Ocean Voyages values environmentally conscious travel. For sustainability purposes, the ships are hybrid power-managed to reduce emissions and allow for near-silent cruising so as not to disturb nearby wildlife. In addition, the yachts boast advanced waste management systems, with all litter stored onboard until it can be disposed of safely.

Atlas Ocean Voyages Itineraries 2025/2026

Atlas Ocean Voyages has unveiled a new series of polar expeditions for 2025, featuring over forty immersive Antarctica itineraries aboard the operator’s trio of ships. Notably, the collection includes a series of fly-cruise expeditions, allowing you to fly directly to King George Island in the Antarctic Peninsula, bypassing the Drake Passage. Other highlights for Atlas Ocean Voyages in 2025 include an extended collection of Epicurean cruises in the Mediterranean, new cultural sailings in Northern Europe, and the anticipated arrival of a new ship, World Seeker, in the winter.

The 2026 season for Atlas begins in Antarctica, with the fleet offering a selection of expedition itineraries until March. Spring will herald the launch of new Arctic voyages from Longyearbyen and Kangerlussuaq. These new itineraries mark the first time Atlas Ocean Voyages has offered Arctic cruises on a six- or seven-night basis, making them an excellent option for those wishing to explore Svalbard or Greenland without committing to a lengthy voyage.
