2,650MS Nieuw Statendam is the sister ship to MS Koningsdam and is the second addition to Holland America Line’s ‘Pinnacle Class’ fleet.
Built in 2018, MS Nieuw Statendam offers an elegant, relaxed onboard environment for up to 2,666 guests. Her interiors have been conceptualised by the noted hospitality designer, Adam D. Tihany, and feature grand light-filled spaces and smooth flowing curves inspired by musical instruments.

The accommodation options on MS Nieuw Statendam consist of three stateroom grades and four suite grades.
Interior Staterooms: Available categories – Standard or Large, both with 2 lower beds which can be converted into a single queen-size bed.
Ocean View Staterooms: Available categories – Single (1 lower bed), Large (2 convertible beds), or Family (2 lower beds, 1 sofa bed and 1 upper bed).
Verandah Staterooms: Available categories – Ten, dependent on deck and position.
Verandah Suites: Available categories – Vista (2 convertible lower beds), Signature (2 convertible beds, 1 ‘Murphy’ bed, full-size whirlpool bath), Neptune (2 convertible beds, full-size whirlpool, floor-to-ceiling windows), Pinnacle (separate bedroom with 1 king-size bed, 1 sofa bed, whirlpool bath with separate shower unit, living room, dining room, guest toilet).
All of the accommodation options are comfortable and boast a range of enhancements including USB ports, flat-screen televisions and wooden cabinets/writing desks. Suite guests also benefit from a private teak verandah and “one-touch” concierge service.

There is a choice of eleven dining venues on MS Nieuw Statendam, ranging from the sophisticated main Dining Room to the more casual Dive-In, which serves up burgers and hot dogs by the pool.

MS Nieuw Statendam Entertainment & Facilities
There are seven entertainment venues and seven lounge/bars on MS Nieuw Statendam. Entertainment in the evening is varied but guests seeking out some glitz and glamour should find plenty to enjoy in one of the ship ’s three live music venues. Alternatively, the World Stage offers a wonderous assault on the senses, courtesy of a two-story, 270 degrees LCD wraparound screen. Here, you can witness several unforgettable presentations, including an exclusive “Planet Earth II in Concert” performance from BBC Earth.
For silver-screen immersion with a twist, the ship’s Lido Deck has a LCD cinema screen (there’s nothing quite like watching a movie under the stars), while the Ocean Bar is recommended if you fancy ocean views paired with a delicious cocktail.
