622Taking her name from the former Norwegian King, Hurtigrutens’s Kong Harald is a modern vessel perfect for sailing the Norwegian coast.
The accommodation onboard the Kong Harald is well appointed, and the main dining room serves up a tasteful selection of Norwegian specialties using fresh and often locally sourced produce.
The bar aboard Kong Harald is named after Nobel Peace Laureate, the Norwegian polar pioneer Fridtjof Nansen, and the café onboard is named after explorer Roald Amundsen. You will also find decorative details of the King’s Crown emblem onboard the vessel.
MS Kong Harald and her sister-ship MS Richard With were both launched in 1993 to mark Hurtigruten’s centenary and has since both become popular members of the Hurtigruten fleet.

Kong Harald Entertainment
One of the great things about a Hurtigruten cruise is the opportunity to explore and learn about your chosen sailing in depth and as Hurtigruten themselves claim ‘Mother Nature provides the entertainment’, your time onboard will be more about relaxing and enjoying the views rather than dancing the night away until the early hours. However, certain voyages will include onboard lectures and conferences.
