228Scenic Eclipse II is the newest member of Scenic Ocean Cruises’ Discovery Yacht fleet and is scheduled to commence service before the end of 2021.
Near identical to her sister-ship, Scenic Eclipse, the yacht provides all-inclusive luxury and an array of exploration opportunities for no more than 228 guests. Scenic Eclipse is equipped with cutting-edge technology for safety and comfort, enabling her to navigate everything from polar waters to shallow harbours easily.
Scenic Eclipse II Itineraries
Unlike the more traditional expedition-orientated cruise ships, Scenic Eclipse II is equally adept at cruising Antarctica’s frozen oceans as it is sailing into small harbour towns in the Mediterranean. This versatility in design and performance enables Scenic Eclipse II to offer itineraries in all seven continents, making her an excellent choice of vessel for both causal cruisers and those looking to discover their spirit of adventure.
In the winter, the ship stays in the southern hemisphere, offering voyages in Antarctica and the Chilean Fjords. At the end of March, Scenic Eclipse II journeys along the coastline of South America before crossing the Atlantic bound for mainland Europe. In spring and summer, Scenic Eclipse II cruises a series of Mediterranean, Baltic and Arctic itineraries before crossing the Atlantic for sailings in the USA, the Caribbean and South America.
Suites & Accommodation
The onboard accommodation spacious and elegantly-appointed. All 114 suites boast a private veranda and luxurious ensuite bathroom facilities. There are six different suite categories to choose from:

Dining on Scenic Eclipse II is an all-inclusive affair, with a choice of ten restaurants available for mealtimes. The cuisine on offer is diverse, with various options to satisfy even the most discerning of palettes.
Elements: This is ship’s main dining venue serving international cuisines such as steak, seafood and tapas.
Chef’s Table @Elements: Enjoy private dining and a selection of freshly prepared meals (invitation-only).
Koko’s / Sushi @Koko’s: Perhaps the best Asian fusion restaurant at sea, Koko’s serves sushi along with the region’s best-loved dishes.

Facilities & Amenities
In keeping with the ship’s theme of ‘discovery’, the exploration facilities truly make her a stand-out choice for expedition cruising. The vessel provides both a helicopter and submarine for optional excursions, along with a fleet of Zodiacs, kayaks and e-bikes. There is also a lecture theatre where guests can take in lectures and guest speakers, as well as a marine that provides easy access to the ship’s water-based toys and apparatus.
Where onboard luxuries are concerned, Scenic Eclipse II also excels. Her public spaces, such as the eight lounges and bars, provide the perfect surroundings for relaxing after a busy day exploring.
