The sister ship of Silver Whisper, Silver Shadow is one of the highest-rated luxury cruise ships in the world. She joined the Silversea fleet in 2000 and offers all-inclusive cruises for no more than 382 guests.

In 2019, Silver Shadow underwent a series of significant refurbishments which saw enhancements made to the onboard accommodation, the dining options and several of the public areas. The onboard experience is now on a par with Silversea’s highly-lauded Silver Muse, and she is a fantastic choice of vessel for cruises in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the Americas.

Silver Shadow Accommodation

There are ten different suite categories on Silver Shadow. All of the suite categories boast ocean views via a private balcony, aside from the Vista Suite, which has a large picture window.

In terms of amenities, the suites on Silver Shadow all have a private en-suite bathroom which is equipped with a shower, full-size bathtub and your choice of products. For a relatively small ship, the living areas are spacious with pleasantly-sized seating areas and ample storage space.

The three largest suites on Silver Shadow (Silver, Royal, Grand and Owners) also benefit from a dining room table and separate bedrooms.

Silver Shadow Restaurants & Dining Venues

Dining on Silver Shadow is an exceptional experience. There are four venues to choose from; each one serving up delicious cuisine that easily rivals that which you would find in one of the world’s top restaurants.

The main dining room on Silver Shadow is The Restaurant. Here, you can enjoy contemporary dishes and regional specialities on an open-seating basis during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Restaurant exudes elegance, with sparkling crystal, grand chandeliers and sweeping ocean views all adding to the overall ambience.

The other dining options on Silver Shadow include

  • La Terrazza: Buffet-style during breakfast and lunch, La Terrazza is transformed in the evenings into an a la carte Italian restaurant serving fresh pasta dishes, pizza and an assortment of meats and seafood.
  • La Dame: Enjoy a quintessential French fine-dining experience designed by Relais & Chateaux.
  • The Grill: Located poolside, The Grill is a more informal option for breakfast and lunch and offers light bites and snacks such as pizza and burgers. In the evening, it becomes an interactive venue with meats and fish grilled at your table.

In-suite dining is also available, courtesy of 24-hour room service.

Silver Shadow Entertainment & Facilities

Cruising on Silver Shadow is all about freedom of choice. During the day, you may choose to spend your time relaxing by the pool, enjoying a good book in the Observation Lounge or taking part in one of the many classes featured in the onboard enrichment programme. The Zagara Spa is also worth a visit and offers a tantalising menu of treatments featuring everything from body wraps to massages and facials.

The evening entertainment on Silver Shadow is relatively low key, with the emphasis more on unique dining experiences and mingling with other guests in one of the bars and lounges. However, if you’re looking for a bit of West End-style pizazz, head to the Show Lounge where you can enjoy a variety of productions and musical performances.
