With just under two years until Queen Anne’s debut, Cunard has released images and descriptions featuring a selection of the ship’s onboard spaces.
The 3,000-guest vessel debuts with an inaugural sailing from Southampton on 4 January 2024 and is the fourth addition to the operator’s fleet. Named after the last Stuart monarch (who ruled over Great Britain and Ireland from 1702 to 1714), Queen Anne is the newest Cunard vessel since the arrival of Queen Elizabeth in 2010.
When Cunard first announced they had signed off on constructing a new ship in February 2022, they claimed the unnamed vessel would be “inspired by our past and built for our future”. Judging by the photos below, the team behind Queen Anne’s interior design have succeeded in bringing the concept to life.
Panorama Pool Club
Holding prime position at the aft of the ship, the Panorama Pool Club is the perfect location for making the most of days at sea. Head to the top deck to soak up the sun and admire the breathtaking 180-degree sea views. Dip your toes into the monochrome-striped pool, or enjoy a drink of your choice lazing on one of the many sun loungers – it’s cocktail hour at the Panorama Pool Club. When night falls, slide into a seat at the bar as the DJ plays the soundtrack to your holiday.
The Pavilion
The Pavilion is guaranteed to be the hub of the ship, offering a swimming pool, a plethora of sun loungers and a bar across two decks and under a glass dome that retracts in warmer climates. Its large LED screen and central stage make it the perfect venue for hosting blockbuster movie nights and live performances from the ship’s resident acts. End the perfect day with the perfect evening, mingling with newfound friends over a glass of wine under the star-lit sky.
The Pavilion Wellness Studio
The Pavilion Wellness Studio is open from sunrise to sunset, offering regular fitness, yoga and meditation sessions. Resembling a beautiful large glass house that looks out onto the horizon, this unique space provides optimum tranquillity, leaving you feeling your best and ready for the day ahead.
Grills Terrace
As a Princess Grill or Queens Grill guest, unlock the door to the Grills Terrace with your room key. This peaceful, private space offers two infinity tubs and an array of seating options, ideal for sunbathing while getting lost in a good book or enjoying a glass of something cold – your private waiter is on hand, ready to take your order. Located on deck 3 in the middle of the ship, the Grill Terrace is a superb place to relax and unwind before heading back to your suite to get ready for the evening’s entertainment.
Maiden Season Itineraries
Following her inaugural sailing, which will take lucky guests to Lisbon and back, Queen Anne will embark on a series of itineraries around the Caribbean Islands before returning to Europe to cruise the Canary Islands, the Mediterranean and the Norwegian Fjords. Details of further itineraries departing in spring and summer 2024 are to be released soon.
