Debuted in 2022, Emerald Cruises is now ready to introduce its third mega yacht. The new Emerald Kaia will enter service in April 2026, joining the 2022-built Emerald Azzurra and the 2023-built Emerald Sakara.
Ken Muskat, the managing director at Scenic Group USA, announced during a press conference in Miami on Tuesday that the product’s increasing popularity has led to expanding the offering. He highlighted that the next-generation vessel, the Emerald Kaia, will allow guests to explore the world’s most captivating coastlines, enhancing their cruising experience.
After launching, the new ship will offer itineraries in the Adriatic Sea before repositioning in the Seychelles and Red Sea for the winter.
The new luxury mega yacht offers 64 suites, which are now 10% larger. 88% of them feature private balconies or extended balconies. It can accommodate 128 guests and 92 crew members.
The Owners Suites now feature a jacuzzi on the front deck, where guests can enjoy breathtaking open sea views.
Emerald Cruises said the vessel offers new features, including expanding ceiling heights for a more spacious feel and a new observation sun deck at the bow. Muskat added that Emerald Kaia is also introducing a 50% increase in wellness space, mentioning guest feedback.
“We looked carefully at our wellness space to make sure we have the best options”, he explained, adding that the space will feature an infrared sauna.
Alongside the new offerings, there will also be an indoor/outdoor fitness centre with a retractable platform where guests can swim in the ocean.
There will also be a selection of exquisite dining onboard. This includes the expanded La Cucina Terrace, where guests will have their dishes prepared in a glass-enclosed kitchen. There is also a new Asian-style Night Market Grill, offering lots of innovative cuisine and vibrant flavours for an interactive experience.
Booking for Emerald’s 2026-2-27 seasons is set to open on April 10, 2024, which includes the inaugural season of Emerald Kaia. This also includes a new set of itineraries in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean onboard Emerald Azzurra and the Emerald Sakara. Muskat added that there are more options for 7-night itineraries.
