Windstar Cruises has announced the expansion of its newest addition of two all-suite motor yachts, Star Seeker and Star Explorer. These two ships are to be acquired from Mysic Invest, which allows Windstar to move a second ship to French Polynesia.
New Ships on the Horizon
The expansion into French Polynesia allows Windstar to reintroduce one of its World-class sailing ships, Wind Star, to Tahiti. Come 2027, Wind Star will accompany the Star Breeze, offering travellers various ship options in French Polynesia. Windstar has disclosed that itineraries and booking information for the Star Seeker will be revealed in late June 2024.
The first of two ships, the Star Seeker, is currently being constructed in the WestSEA shipyard in Portugal. Reports have stated that Star Seeker will be delivered in December 2025, followed by Star Explorer in December 2026.
Luxurious Accommodations
Each ship has 112 suites featuring full private verandas with infinity windows. In addition, two new Owner’s Suites with wrap-balconies have been added to the ship’s raft, which is perfect for evening cocktails or a private dinner. Both ships have a capacity of 224 guests, and the staff-to-guest ratio is 1:2, allowing the ships to maintain an intimate atmosphere.
Amenities and Features
Guests will be able to enjoy access to multiple newly added Windstar favourites, which include the brand’s iconic Watersports Platforms with all-new staircase access, a two-story fitness and spa facility, Yacht Club Cafe and Lounge, a spacious open deck perfect for sunbathing and Windstar’s famous deck barbeques. Star Seeker and Star Explorer are equipped with ice-strengthened hulls, granting access to previously inaccessible destinations.
