The State of Bahir is located in eastern India; it is separated into two parts by the river Ganges. Much of Bahir is covered with forests boasting many different species of flora and fauna. The endangered Ganges River Dolphin may also be seen here or at the Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary where the species is protected.
