Kodiak is a small fishing port of just 6,273 people on the Chiniak Bay on the Northeast coast of Kodiak Island on the South coast of Alaska, due to it’s rich green summers its widely known as Alaska’s Emerald Isle. The island is covered in thick woods, grass and wildflowers due to the moisture provided by its glaciers. Kodiac is home to a huge amount of wildlife including many fish which make for good fishing, elk, mountain goats, sitka deer and the incredible kodiak bear.
