After a one-hour bus drive to Romania's capital, Bucharest will welcome you with the imposing sight of the Patriarch's church, the residence of the primate of the Romanian Orthodox church. You will see the patriarch's palace, the building of the people's chamber, and the parliament palace, the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon. After a visit to the military academy, lunch will be served in a restaurant, enhanced by a folklore performance. After lunch, the tour will take you to the Royal Palace Square, where in 1989, the riots started, which lead to the collapse of the communist dictatorship. A special highlight of this tour is a visit to the Village-museum, where more than 300 meticulously reconstructed buildings from all over Romania are displayed.
