Caribbean Ports List
Ocean Cay
Ocean Cay stands out as my favourite Caribbean port for several reasons. Firstly, it has natural beauty, with pristine beaches, clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs. What truly distinguishes Ocean Cay is its dedication to sustainability and conservation, transforming it from an industrial site into an eco-friendly paradise. You can enjoy a range of water activities surrounded by marine life, all while experiencing a sense of tranquillity and serenity. In essence, Ocean Cay offers a peaceful escape and a chance to reconnect with nature, making it a standout destination in its own right. – Jess
Aruba
Aruba has stolen my heart as the top Caribbean destination. Its stunning beaches, pink flamingos, vibrant culture, and friendly atmosphere set it apart. From charming Dutch architecture to diverse dining options, there’s something for everyone. And with activities like snorkelling and off-road jeep tours. It’s the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement, making it my forever favourite Caribbean port. – Paul
Grenada
The best Caribbean port and the one that I would highly recommend to anyone planning to cruise or visit the Caribbean, is Grenada. The island’s natural beauty is simply breathtaking, boasting lush rainforests, majestic waterfalls, and pristine beaches that captivate nature enthusiasts. Also, Grenada is a haven for divers, offering some of the Caribbean’s finest spots with vibrant coral reefs filled with marine life.
However, what truly makes Grenada stand out is the genuine warmth and hospitality of its people. From the moment you arrive, you’re embraced with open arms and treated like family. Whether you’re indulging in local cuisine at a roadside food stand or having friendly conversation with locals at a beach bar, Grenada instantly feels like a home away from home. – Lynne
Antigua
For me, my favourite Caribbean cruise port has to be Antigua. Antigua is renowned for its stunning beaches, with powdery white sands and clear turquoise waters stretching as far as the eye can see. Beyond its beaches, Antigua boasts a rich history and vibrant culture that adds depth to its allure. Exploring the capital city of St. John’s, you’ll discover a charming mix of colonial architecture, bustling markets, and colourful street vendors selling everything from local crafts to fresh produce.
Don’t miss the chance to visit historic sites like Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers a fascinating glimpse into the island’s maritime heritage. Antigua is also a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with a variety of activities to enjoy on land and sea. You could take the opportunity to explore the island’s rugged interior on a hiking or biking adventure. For water lovers, snorkelling and diving opportunities are options. – Nikki
