Voyagers will once again be able to sail down many of Europe’s famous rivers, including the Rhine, Main, Seine, Danube and Douro as Scenic resumes its full European river cruise programme for the first time since 2020.
Scenic operated a small number of sailings in Bordeaux throughout the coronavirus pandemic, but yesterday the line set sail on the Rhine, beginning its famous 8-day Rhine Highlights itinerary which includes a scenic ride on the country’s oldest cog railway and a private evening concert at the Baroque Palace of Rastatt.
Scenic is set to embark on over 300 voyages this year. There are also two brand-new culinary programmes being introduced this season: Tastes of Southern France and Flavours of Bordeaux, both of which are 11-day itineraries. Sailing on a round-trip from Lyon, the first of the two itineraries includes an exclusive interactive workshop at the Valrhona Cité du Chocolate and an unforgettable classical concert at the Palais des Papes. Prices for the Tastes of Southern France itinerary start at £3,195 per person based on 5 May 2022 departure.
Scenic offers a truly all-inclusive river cruise experience. All ships and itineraries include flights (or Eurostar) and transfers, exciting all-shore excursions, exceptional wining and dining experiences, private butler service and gratuities and taxes.
The line is currently offering savings of up to 2,400 per couple across all voyages this year as well as complimentary private door-to-door chauffeur transfers on any booking made before 16 May 2022.
