Choosing A Cruise Line
Who should I cruise with?
With more than 50 mainstream cruise companies all vying for attention, plus another half dozen or so specialising in river voyages, your options can appear overwhelming at first. Choice varies from boutique-style vessels carrying just 50 guests to the vast mega-ships which are able to carry an incredibly impressive 5,000+ passengers.
At The Cruise Line, we cover a little bit of everything. We have been offering our clients luxury cruises for more than 20 years, so it’s fair to say that we know a thing or two about cruising, and our Voyage Consultants are on hand 6-days a week to offer advice and guidance on what may work best for you.
We offer everything from family luxury aboard a large cruise ship, such as Celebrity Cruises Celebrity Eclipse, to a more intimate, five-star, all-inclusive experience with Regent Seven Seas Cruises – whatever you are looking for, we have it.
Family cruising – P&O Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line and Princess Cruises.
Five-and-six-star luxury (many of which are all-inclusive) – Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and Silversea Cruises.
Boutique cruise lines – SeaDream Yacht Club, Seabourn, Ponant and Oceania Cruises.
Small-ship cruising – Voyages to Antiquity, Azamara Club Cruises and Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
River cruise lines – AmaWaterways, Tauck, Scenic and American Queen Steamboat Company.
Expedition – Hurtigruten, Silversea Expeditions, Zegrahm, Lindblad Expeditions and Aqua Expeditions.
You can find out more about each cruise line by clicking here.
Some cruise lines also specialise in specific regions, for example, if French Polynesia, Tahiti and the South Pacific were high on your list of places to go, then no other cruise line explores them quite like Paul Gauguin Cruises – they are the South Pacific experts.
Hurtigruten is the “go-to” line for Norwegian coastal voyages, Princess Cruises offer some incredible Alaska cruise and stay itineraries and Cunard is the only cruise line in the world that offers a regular transatlantic service between Southampton and New York – so if a trip to the Big Apple was on your mind, then look no further than one of Cunard’s Queens.
