Silversea has expedition ships and a culinary focus through S.A.L.T, while Regent Seven Seas includes an array of onboard elements and unlimited shore excursions. There’s no single supplement waiver, so solo travellers pay for the full suite. That said, the atmosphere suits independent guests – relaxed dining with no fixed seating, plenty of bars and lounges to settle into, and a sociable but not forced vibe. Explora Club has five tiers: Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Benefits start with priority access to new itineraries and scale up to suite upgrades, private airport transfers, and complimentary cruises at Diamond level. Points are earned per night, with multipliers for higher suite categories.

It can be. There’s no kids’ club, but 82 connecting suites and the Owner’s Residence make multigenerational travel straightforward. Select sailings offer activities for younger guests. It suits families who want a calm, refined atmosphere rather than a busy ship with organised children’s programmes.
